All layout dimensions use post centers. Each straight fenced interval is divided into bays no longer than the entered maximum. Equal mode distributes bays evenly; fixed mode leaves a shorter final bay. Identical endpoint coordinates are merged. Gates interrupt the fence and their supporting posts are counted once. Closed layouts must return to their start. Junctions with more than two fence edges are rejected. Mid-run intersections, slopes and structural design are outside the model. Timber counts use clear bay width after subtracting post width. Rail pieces are rounded up per bay; offcuts are not reused automatically. Concrete is cylindrical hole volume minus square post volume. Coating covers the entered faces plus additional area. Waste is applied to boards, rails, concrete and coating. Cost adds materials, labour, removal and other costs, then contingency and tax. Concrete mix cost and gate hardware should be added under Other costs.
